Upcoming Events
Updated events coming soon!
The Dorothy Gerber Strings Program is committed to the health and safety of its students and families. The DGSP will shift to partial online instruction for the period of November 18 through December 8 and possibly longer, contingent on announcements from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.
-
The majority of strings classes are suspended during this period of time. DGSP teachers will reach out to parents of students in their classes to offer weekly one-on-one online tutoring at no additional charge.
-
The classes taking place during the school day, including the 6th grade class at St. Francis Xavier School and the Orchestra class at Harbor Light Christian School, are continuing as currently scheduled.
-
The Saturday morning Suzuki group class is being offered in an online format. Teachers will reach out to parents with additional information.
-
The Dorothy Gerber Youth Orchestra will be suspended during this period of time.
-
Recitals are postponed indefinitely. Please know we are so proud of the hard work you and your children have put towards these performances. We look forward to the day we are able to have in-person recitals again.
-
Private lessons are currently available with students able to continue with their current instructors. Students may study in person with one-on-one instruction or virtually as preferred. Students may be able to keep their current schedules or adjust depending on the availability of their instructor.
